I wanted to post an update now about a couple of events I’m excited for in the coming months.

First up, ‘The Nicholas Sieber Quintet’ and ‘The Shawn Dakin Group’ at Placebo Space, March 21, 2014. 8:30PM.

This will be the first time that my own group will perform after our recording sessions that ended in April of last year. I’m looking forward to playing with some top notch Humber musicians.

Joining me is Shawn Dakin, a talented bassist and composer from Vancouver Island. I’m looking forward to playing with that group as well and showcasing his exceptional compositions that span a broad range of musical genres.

Later May 17 is ‘The Socialist Night School’s’ EP release Party at the Rex Hotel. I’ve been a part of this contemporary Big Band since it’s inception 2 years ago and Chelsea Mcbride writes and arranges some of the coolest music going on in the Toronto scene now. We finished recording in December and the music is now in post production. I can’t wait to hear the finished product and share it!
